The Progress Coalition is a 100% volunteer, 100% grassroots movement — no billionaires, no corporations, no special interests — built to fight for the generation Democratic leadership keeps ignoring.
Founded just 8 months before the election, The Progress Coalition ran a youth-led digital campaign in FL-01 while almost every major Democratic PAC spent nothing on the ground. We invested in voters instead.
Through targeted digital strategy, direct-mail voter engagement, and grassroots organizing, we generated 1.9 million local impressions — and helped flip Escambia County in a special election the Democratic establishment hadn't won in 65 years.
This is what happens when young people stop waiting for permission and start organizing. We're scaling this nationwide for 2028.
“Young people are not waiting for permission from the establishment. They are ready to see Democrats win again, and this shows what happens when we combine innovation, data, and genuine grassroots energy. We’re building something that can win — everywhere.”
The Progress Coalition — FL-01 Special Election
Every industry below has spent heavily to buy influence inside the Democratic establishment. Every one of them has gotten a return on that investment — in blocked legislation, in softened regulation, in leaders who look the other way. We take nothing from any of them.
Most superPACs exist to protect the interests of wealthy donors and party insiders. They protect incumbents, reward loyalty to leadership, and make sure the people writing the big checks stay comfortable.
We flipped the model entirely. No corporate money. No industry money. No billionaires. That means we answer to grassroots activists — not to a boardroom, not to a major donor, not to the DNC.
The party establishment considers organizations like ours a threat. That tells you all you need to know about whose interests they have in mind.
The DNC's response to declining youth engagement has been to run the same candidates, the same messaging, and the same strategy — then blame young people for not showing up.
They're ready to show up. They're just not finding anything worth showing up for. The party hasn't earned them. We're building the coalition that will.
Young Americans are the largest generational voting bloc in the country. They support progressive policy by wide margins. They donate when they believe something is real. The DNC has had twenty years to figure this out. They haven't.
In 2024, the DNC cleared the field for its preferred presidential candidate without a single primary vote. Democrats were told to accept it, while being preached to about “protecting Democracy.” Do they think Americans are dumb?
Small-dollar donations and volunteer hours get funneled to protect incumbents and party infrastructure — not to advance the policies those activists actually care about.
Activists who challenge leadership and demand real change get marginalized, defunded, deplatformed, defamed in collusion with corrupt media, subjected to lawfare, and censored.
Historic losses at state and federal level. The same consultants, the same strategy, the same excuses. No accountability — because the people responsible control the accountability process.
Afraid of their own radical wing, Democratic leadership adopts culture war positions that most Americans — including most Democrats — don't hold. Chasing activist Twitter while losing everyone else. It's not bold. It's cowardice dressed up as principle.
For over a year, White House staff and Democratic leaders in collusion with legacy media concealed President Biden's declining capacity from voters — the very people they claim to serve. When it became impossible to hide, they orchestrated a replacement without a single primary vote. That's not protecting democracy. That's the opposite.
While protecting corporate donors and avoiding a serious reckoning on immigration, Democratic leadership stopped speaking to the economic anxieties of working Americans. Those voters didn't disappear. They found a party that could hear them. That's on the DNC — not on the voters who left.
Rather than pursuing the race-blind, equal-opportunity society based not on equity but on equality under the law, Democratic insiders have built their entire political strategy around racial grievance and identity division. It fires up radicals, but makes it harder to actually fix the inequalities they claim to care about.
Democratic insiders used lawfare as a political weapon while leveraging their relationships with legacy media to shape narratives, suppress dissent, and mislead the public. A free press and an independent judiciary are cornerstones of democracy — not tools for partisan power.
While young men have shifted dramatically toward populist ideas and a more practical version of progressivism, Democratic leadership hasn't asked why — instead they've doubled down on the same messaging that lost 2024 and written off an entire generation as the problem instead of the solution. You don't win back voters by insulting them.
The most influential media for young voters is long-form conversation — and Democratic leadership is almost entirely absent from it. Not because they aren't invited. Because their positions collapse under honest, extended scrutiny. You can't hide talking points that have no depth beyond simplistic emotionality in a three-hour interview. You have to actually respect your listeners.
While young voters are hungry for leaders who speak their language, Democratic Party machinery throws its weight behind the same aging incumbents — people the age of Chuck Schumer — who've been in power for decades and have nothing left to offer. New energy gets primaried. Old guard gets protected.
Six issue areas where Democratic leadership has failed its voters — and where young Americans are demanding the most change.
Open primaries. Ranked-choice voting. An end to party leaders clearing the field before voters have a say. Democracy starts inside the party.
Supported by most Democratic voters and an overwhelming majority of young Americans. Blocked by leaders who take insurance industry money.
Real wages, freer markets, abundant energy, removing the barriers to housing construction. Young people are the first generation expected to be poorer than their parents. That's a policy failure.
Every reasonable progressive understands that a country must have secure borders and well-funded police. The ridiculous propaganda that only appeals to 2% of the population listening to the loudest voices on social media has got to go.
Voting rights, reproductive freedom, civil liberties — fought with the urgency the threats actually require, not the urgency of a party protecting its own majority.
Democrats should be able to disagree in public. We actively oppose the DNC's pattern of punishing activists and electeds who speak honestly.
Join grassroots activists across the country building the progressive movement the DNC refuses to. No billionaires. No corporations. No special interests. Just Americans who are done waiting.
